Billing and project access
Free projects, self-serve plans, trials, complimentary access, managed sites, shared credits, usage, and legacy Core access.
Connect Search Console for free. Its properties appear in Projects as Available in GSC; choose Add free project to open one. You can also add a site manually. A project stays free until you explicitly make it managed.
Free projects retain Search Console, GA4, and Cloudflare data, settings, and saved history. MCP remains available for free-data tools. A managed site can run paid AI-answer and Authority checks, audits, optimization work, reports, and the assistant. Existing data is never blanked out.
On a free site, each paid page previews itself from data the site already has, at no cost:
- AI answers lists your Search Console searches that read as questions or comparisons. Engine cells read "not checked yet".
- Authority shows the site's Ahrefs Domain Rating and its non-brand Google views. Link counts read "not collected yet".
- Audit shows the openings found in your connected data.
- Tasks shows the tasks the engine would file first.
- Reports shows how this week's digest would open.
Actions a free site can't take, such as New task, Generate report, and Run audit, don't appear. Each preview ends with one offer instead, and it opens a sheet that names what it turns on and what stays free. From that sheet you can choose a plan, use an open slot at no charge, or add a site with the prorated charge shown first. After checkout you return to the same page with the site already managed. The Free site chip in a page header lists what is free and what a managed site adds.

Annual billing saves two months. Every paid plan has the same features; higher plans buy more site capacity and credits. A managed-site add-on is $20/month or $200/year. A one-time pack of 1,000 credits costs $25. You can select plans and add-ons yourself under Settings → Plan & usage. Before an immediate plan upgrade or site-capacity purchase, the app shows the estimated charge today; changes scheduled for renewal show no charge today. It recommends a higher plan when it is cheaper than the selected plan plus site and credit add-ons for the estimated month.
Trial and complimentary access
An administrator can grant a trial of Pro, Team, or Agency without requiring a card. The trial lasts for the number of days the administrator chooses. When it ends, Stripe bills the selected monthly or annual plan if a payment method is available; otherwise the subscription cancels and sites return to Free. Add or update payment details through the billing portal in Settings → Plan & usage. After a trial converts to paid, you can manage your plan yourself.
Complimentary access keeps the selected plan free indefinitely through a recurring 100% discount. Monthly and annual renewals remain free while that discount stays applied. Normal site capacity and monthly credit limits still apply; separately purchased credit packs are not included in the subscription discount. An administrator manages complimentary plans and trials while they are active.
Credits and usage
Credits cover paid provider calls on managed sites: live and scheduled AI-answer checks, citation-index lookups, AI metrics refreshes, and Authority data requests. The server quotes a maximum before a call and charges actual provider cost after it completes. Chat and MCP only spend credits when one of their tools makes a paid provider call; ordinary questions and free-data tools do not.
Monthly plan credits are shared across managed sites and reset without rollover. Purchased credits are used after plan credits and expire 12 months after purchase. Plan & usage shows separate balances, expiry, crawl pages, and recent paid usage by site and source. When credits run out, paid calls pause rather than creating unapproved overages. You can buy a pack or opt into automatic recharge with a monthly spending cap. You can independently choose whether scheduled automation may use purchased credits.
Site crawls and audits run only on managed projects. The usage page shows pages attempted this calendar month for each site; no monthly crawl-page quota is enforced by the current plans.
Site states and cancellation
Available in GSC is a property that has not become a project. Free is a project using no paid slot. Managed uses one slot. Scheduled Free stays managed through the current paid term and becomes Free at renewal. Use Make managed when a paid slot is available; otherwise add site capacity or choose a larger plan. You can cancel a scheduled plan change or resume tracking before renewal.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term. Projects, connections, and free data remain. Paid refreshes, actions, reports, and chat pause; billing history, payment methods, and invoices remain accessible.
Existing Core subscriptions
Existing Core subscriptions keep their legacy terms and controls until migrated: $149/month or $1,428/year for one site, plus $69/month or $660/year per additional site. Core's pooled live-question allowance, optional overages, and site swaps remain under Plan & usage for those accounts. New signups choose Free, Pro, Team, or Agency.
