vsAirOps alternative: content at scale vs changes you can measure
AirOps is a content production platform that has added an AI-search visibility front end — Insights tells you where you stand, Action turns that into content at volume through agents, grids and workflows. There is a free Insights tier, and paid tiers are custom-quoted. SERPclimber is $149/month per site and metered in optimization actions rather than published words. Here is the honest comparison.

SERPclimberAirOpsThe short verdict
AirOps started as an AI content workflow platform and has repositioned around AI search, but the centre of gravity has not moved: it is a content factory with a visibility dashboard on the front. Its own structure says so — Insights ("know where you stand and what to prioritise across AI and traditional search") feeding Action ("take action on insights to craft content that drives pipeline").
What it does well, it does at a scale nothing here matches. Quill acts as an agent captain executing strategy, Grids handle bulk spreadsheet-style production, Workflow Studio builds custom AI workflows without code, and Brand Kit plus Knowledge Bases keep voice consistent across all of it. There are 10+ CMS integrations, 30+ AI models, and Semrush and Ahrefs connections for SEO data on the Pro tier. Billing is task-based: 1,000 tasks a month free, rising with the paid tiers.
SERPclimber is metered in a different unit entirely. Twelve optimization actions per site per month — not because we think you should publish less, but because our claim is not that you will publish more, it is that you will know which of your changes worked. Search Console and a weekly crawl tell us what is wrong and what it is worth, each problem becomes a task with the recommended edits written, and every task is measured against its own starting number after the work is done.
Choose by bottleneck. If yours is output — you need hundreds of pages, or programmatic content across a large site — AirOps is a far more powerful machine and we are far behind on that. If yours is evidence — you have plenty of content and no idea which of last quarter's work was worth doing — that is the gap we were built for.

Which fits your team?
~/serpclimberbest forChoose SERPclimber if…
You have enough content. What you do not have is a way to tell which changes helped. You want the page that is slipping surfaced from your own Search Console data, the edits written from that page's real queries, the live page checked after you apply them, and a measured result against the number the task started from. A flat $149 per site, all five engines included, no tier gate on coverage.
Choose AirOps if…
Your bottleneck is production. You need hundreds of pages, programmatic content across a large site, or bulk workflows your team can design themselves — with brand voice enforced and a dozen CMSes to publish into. You already pay for Semrush or Ahrefs and want that data in the same place. AirOps is a far more powerful content machine than anything we offer, and the free Insights tier costs nothing to try.
Tasks measure work done. Measured tasks show what it was worth
AirOps meters in tasks — 1,000 a month on the free tier, scaling upward. It is the right unit for what it does: a task is a unit of production, and their product is a production machine.
We meter in optimization actions: 12 per site per month. An optimization action is engine work that changes something or spends money. Reading evidence, filing findings, writing briefs and measuring results are not metered at all. That number looks small next to a thousand tasks, and it is measuring something different.
The reason we cap it is honesty about measurement. Twelve well-measured changes on pages that matter will teach you more about your site than a hundred simultaneous changes you cannot untangle. Every additional concurrent change makes every other result harder to read.
So the question is not which number is bigger. It is whether your problem is that you have not published enough, or that you have published a great deal and cannot say what any of it did.
- AirOps: 1,000 tasks/month free, scaling with paid tiers
- SERPclimber: 12 optimization actions and 500 live questions per site per month
- Every task here is measured against its own starting number
- Overage here is capped: $6 per extra optimization action
Check which engines your tier actually includes
AirOps' homepage lists Google, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini. The pricing page is more specific, and the difference matters: the entry paid tier covers ChatGPT insights only, with multi-engine insights arriving at the higher tier.
This is a common pattern in the category — the marketing page shows the catalogue and the pricing page shows what your plan buys — and it is worth checking before you compare prices with anyone.
SERPclimber has no engine tiers because it has no tiers at all. ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude are included at $149/month per site, which is the whole shape of our pricing: every module at every price point.
Their paid tier pricing is also not published, so a like-for-like comparison is not possible from public information alone. Figures circulating on review sites are third-party and we will not repeat them as fact.
- AirOps entry paid tier: ChatGPT insights only
- AirOps higher tier: multi-engine insights
- SERPclimber: all five engines at one price, no tiers
- AirOps paid pricing is custom-quoted rather than published
Where AirOps is simply the better buy
You need volume. Grids, Quill and Workflow Studio are built for producing and managing content at a scale we do not attempt. If your plan involves hundreds of pages, that decides it.
You want to design your own workflows. No-code workflow building across 30+ AI models and 10+ data providers. We are deliberately opinionated — one loop, done one way — and that is a limitation as much as a feature.
You publish into many systems. 10+ CMS integrations, plus Notion and Google Drive. We do not publish for you at all.
You want to start free. The Insights tier is $0, and there is a 14-day trial of the paid features with no card required up front. We have neither.
- Bulk content production via Grids and agents — not available here
- Custom no-code AI workflows — not available here
- 10+ CMS integrations plus Notion and Google Drive
- Free Insights tier and a 14-day trial
AirOps and SERPclimber sit at opposite ends of the same problem. They make it easy to produce a great deal; we make it possible to know which of it worked.
If the measurement half is what is missing, SEO Experiments explains how a task becomes evidence, and the AI SEO Content Generator covers how edits get written from your existing pages.
Frequently asked questions
AirOps publishes $0/month for its Insights tier, which includes 1 user, 1 brand kit, 5 knowledge sources and 1,000 tasks a month. The Pages and Enterprise tiers are custom-quoted through sales, and there is a 14-day free trial of the paid features. Third-party review sites report figures around $200/month and $2,000/month for the Solo and Pro tiers, but AirOps does not publish those numbers and we do not treat them as confirmed.
At the free Insights tier, yes — $0 against $149/month per site. On paid tiers it is impossible to say precisely, because AirOps does not publish paid pricing. What is comparable is the engine gating: their entry paid tier covers ChatGPT insights only, while all five of our engines are included at one price.
Both, but the weighting matters. It began as an AI content workflow platform and has added an AI-search visibility layer, structured as Insights feeding Action. The visibility data exists to direct the content engine rather than standing alone, so it is best read as a content production platform with a visibility front end.
Not as an owned capability — it integrates Semrush and Ahrefs on the Pro tier to bring that data in. So you may need one of those subscriptions alongside it. SERPclimber uses Google Search Console directly as first-party data, which is what drives our discovery of pages losing clicks.
Controlled tests or split testing are not documented on their platform pages. They measure impact, but measuring impact after a change is not the same as isolating whether the change caused it. SERPclimber measures each task against a baseline frozen when the task was created, using the same metric over a window of the same length.
Yes, and they complement each other more than they overlap. AirOps produces content at a volume we do not attempt; SERPclimber audits the site, works the task list on the pages that already matter, and tells you which changes earned their place. Start with their free Insights tier and see whether your bottleneck is really output or evidence.
